Dibrugarh University has released the official notification of Dibrugarh University Admission Test (DUAT) 2026 for admission to Post Graduate Academic Programmes of Dibrugarh University for the session of 2026 – 2027. Through this test, students can enroll directly to various 2 year Post Graduate Programmes conducted by Dibrugarh University or for lateral entry into the Fourth Year (7th Semester) of the Five-Year Integrated Post Graduate Programme (FYIPGP).
These courses include Master’s in Arts (MA), Master’s in Science (MSc), Master’s in Commerce (MCom) and M.Ed. under Dibrugarh University.
Earlier, such admission test was known as Dibrugarh University Post Graduate Entrance Test (DUPGET). Interested and eligible candidates wish to study in any PG courses under Dibrugarh University must appear in this PG Admission Test mandatorily .

A Candidate is eligible to appear in the DUAT 2026 in maximum 4 (four) subjects.
Eligibility Criteria of DUAT :
Lateral entry to Fourth Year (7th Semester) of FYIPGP
Candidates must successfully completed 6th semester of FYUG/ Integrated PG Programme under NEP 2020 with minimum 60 credits in the subject applied for admission.
Master of Arts (MA) Course :
- Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point. OR
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point.
Master of Science (MSc) Course :
- Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point. OR
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point.
Master of Commerce (MCom) Course :
- Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point. OR
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point.
Note:
Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in the 6th Semester Examination of the FYUGP/ Integrated PG Programme under NEP2020 in 2026 and are awaiting their results are also eligible to appear in DUAT 2026. However, such candidates must submit their final grade sheet/ marksheet within the stipulated deadline to be notified by the University.

Application Fee of DUAT 2026 :
Applicants have to pay an application fee of Rs. 1050/- only (Rupees one thousand fifty only) through the online payment gateway by using Debit (ATM) Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking during the submission of form. No other mode of payment is accepted.

DUAT Exam Details :
Name of exam:Dibrugarh University Admission Test (DUAT), 2026
Date of exam: 29th and 30th June 2026
Max marks: 100 marks (for Mathematics, max marks is 150)
Duration of exam: 2 hours
Type of exam: Objective type multiple choice questions
No of questions: 100 questions
Medium of question paper: Question paper shall be in English excluding the language subjects
Negative marking: 0.25 (point two five) mark for incorrect response to a question.
Exam Centres for DUAT 2026 :
The Candidates shall select their Test Centres while applying online for appearing in the DUAT 2026. Change of Test Centre shall not be allowed after final submission or the online applications. The DUAT 2026 shall be held in the following 11 Test Centres across the state.
