Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Clerk Vacancy 2026
Applicants must satisfy all the eligibility conditions prescribed by IBPS before submitting the online application. Candidates should be Indian citizens or subjects of Nepal or Bhutan as mentioned in the notification. The age of the applicant must be between 20 years and 28 years as on 1st August 2026. Eligible candidates should have been born between 2nd August 1998 and 1st August 2006.
IBPS has also provided category-wise age relaxation for reserved candidates.
Applicants belonging to SC/ST categories are eligible for 5 years of relaxation, OBC-NCL candidates are eligible for 3 years, while PwBD candidates can avail 10 years of relaxation.
Candidates applying for vacancies in a particular State or Union Territory should also be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language of that State or UT.
Educational Qualification for IBPS Clerk Vacancies 2026
Candidates must possess a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or hold an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
Applicants should possess a valid degree certificate or mark sheet confirming their graduation status on the date of online registration and must mention their graduation percentage while applying.
