CGST & Customs Guwahati Job Details :

1. Tax Assistant No of posts: 1 [UR] Educational Qualification: 1) Degrees from the recognized University or equivalent. 2) Should have basic knowledge in the use of computer applications. 3) Should possess a data entry speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour. Note: The speed of 8000 key depressions per hour for data entry work is to be judged by conducting a speed test on the Electronic data processing machine Pay Scale : (As per 7th CPC): Level-4 in the pay matrix (Rs.25,500 -81,100)

2. Havaldar No of posts: 10 [UR: 9, OBC: 1] Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from any recognized Board. Note: Candidates will be required to possess the physical standards and pass physical tests as specified in the new Recruitment Rules. Pay Scale : (As per 7th CPC): Level-1 in the pay matrix (Rs.18,000 -56,900)

Eligibility Criteria of CGST & Customs Guwahati Jobs 2025 :

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit: The candidate must be of 18 to 27 years of age on 13/09/2025. However, relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years (10 years in the case of those belonging to SC/ST category)

Other Qualification for CGST & Customs Guwahati Recruitment 2025 :

Sports Qualification: The proficiency will be evaluated on the basis of their participation in recognized tournaments/events in the calendar years 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020. Certificates of participation/achievements for which concerned forms issued by concerned Authorities are not enclosed, will not be considered for evaluating the proficiency.
