The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the entrance test for admission into various undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions of India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) usually conducts NEET-UG Exam once in a year for admission into different MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS courses in India.

National Testing Agency has released the official notification for online application of the NEET exam 2026. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online here. As per official notification, the NEET-UG 2026 will be held on 03rd May 2026.

Eligibility Criteria of NEET Application Form 2026 :
The National Testing Agency has fixed the following eligibility criteria to appear in NEET 2026.
Nationality: Citizens belonging to the following nationalities are eligible to apply for NEET (UG)
- Indian Nationals
- Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)
- Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
- Persons with Indian Origin (PIO)
- Foreign Nationals
Age Limit: Candidates have to completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year of the Undergraduate Medical Course.
Accordingly, the lower age limit shall be born on or before 31.12.2009. There is no upper age limit to apply for NEET-UG.
Educational Qualification for NEET Application Form 2026 :
Candidate must have passed (or appear) Class 10+2 exam or equivalent exam with subjects- English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology individually from a recognised board or university.
Application Fees for NEET Application Form 2026 :
Interested and eligible candidates have to pay an application fee of amount as mentioned below during online submission of NEET-UG application . The fee can be paid using a credit card/ debit card/ net banking/ e-challan/ UPI.

Syllabus for NEET Examination 2026 :
The Test pattern of NEET (UG) – 2026 comprises Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology). The question paper will consist of 180 compulsory questions which must be attempted by the candidates in 180 minutes.
The pattern for the NEET (UG) – 2026 examination for admission in the Session 2026-27 is as follows:

NEET Merit List And Qualifying Criteria :
The NTA will prepare the Merit List/All India Rank (AIR) as per Qualifying/eligibility criteria and other norms as well as the relevant regulations/guidelines of NMC/DGHS/MCC/DCI and Ministry of AYUSH/NCISM/NCH/CCH/AACCC, as the case may be.
In order to be eligible for admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses for a particular academic year in case of General, General-EWS, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum of marks at the 50th percentile in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test to Undergraduate Medical Courses held for the said academic year.
However, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks shall be at the 40th percentile.
In respect of candidates with Benchmark, Disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile for Unreserved Category & GEN-EWS Category candidates and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates. The percentile shall be determined on the basis of the highest marks secured in the All India common merit list in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses.
