Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Ministry of Railways, Govt. of India has released an short employment notification CEN No. 05/2025 for the recruitment of 2569 Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant Posts in various RRBs. RRB JE Recruitment 2025 Details :
| Name of post: Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA)
No of posts: 2569 posts No of posts @ RRB Guwahati: 7 posts Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 18 to 33 years as on 1st January 2026. Pay Scale : Pay level-6, with initial pay of Rs. 35,400/-, plus other allowances admissible at that time. |
Other Criteria of RRB JE Recruitment 2025 :
Age Limit : The relaxation of upper age limit for reserved categories are as follows:
Age Relaxation :
- OBC-NCL : 3 Years
- SC/ST : 5 Years
- PwBD – UR & EWS : 10 Years
- PwBD – OBC/NCL : 13 Years
- PwBD – SC & ST : 15 Years
Educational Qualification :
- Metallurgical Supervisor/ Research: Degree or its equivalent in Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institution. Knowledge of any computer language will be essential.
- Junior Engineer Electrical: Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute
- Junior Engineer Civil: (a) Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering of three years duration or (b) a combination of any substream of basic streams of Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Junior Engineer/ Track Machine: (a) Three years Diploma in Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Junior Engineer Mechanical: Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Manufacturing/ Mechatronics/ Industrial/ Machining/ Instrumentation and Control/ Tools and Machining/ Tools and Die Making/ Automobile/ Production Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Manufacturing/ Mechatronics/ Industrial/ Machining/ Instrumentation and Control/ Tools and Machining/ Tools and Die Making/ Automobile/ Production Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
- Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Junior Engineer/ Diesel Electrical: Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Junior Engineer/ S and T/ Telecommunication: Three years Diploma in (a) Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Communication Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub-stream of basic streams of Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Communication Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Depot Material Superintendent: Three Years Diploma in Engineering in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institution.
- Chemical Supervisor/ Research: Degree or its equivalent in Chemical Technology from a recognized University/ Institution covering any one or more of the following fields: a) Petroleum Products, b) Paints and Corrosion Prevention c) Polymers. Knowledge of any computer language will be essential.
Examination Fees for RRB JE Recruitment 2025 :
Candidates have to pay an examination fee as mentioned below as per their categories or community:
- SC/ST / Ex-Serviceman / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class : Rs.250
- Others : Rs.500
Payment Mode: Candidates can pay their exam fee through online mode using options like Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.
