IIT Guwahati Vacancy Details :

Name of post: Junior Engineer (Trainee)

No of posts: 10 posts

Discipline wise Vacancy:

• Civil Engineering: 07 Nos.;
• Electrical Engineering: 02 Nos.;
• Mechanical Engineering: 01 No.

Remuneration: Consolidated stipend of Rs. 25,000 (Rupees twenty-five thousand only) per month will be paid during the contract period. Free hostel accommodation may be provided, subject to availability.

Eligibility Criteria of IIT Guwahati Naukri 2026 :

Age Limit: The maximum age limit of the candidate should be 28 years on the last date of receipt of the application.

Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Experience (Discipline-wise):

• Junior Engineer (Trainee) – Civil Engineering: Field experience in Building maintenance, Preparation of technical estimates, Tender preparation, Concrete works and Other site-related civil engineering activities.
• Junior Engineer (Trainee) – Electrical Engineering: Experience in HT/LT substation maintenance, DG (Diesel Generator) maintenance.
• Junior Engineer (Trainee) – Mechanical Engineering: Experience in the maintenance of air conditioning systems.

Educational Qualification for IIT Guwahati Job 2026 :

• Three-year Diploma in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute.
• Minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant field experience.
• Candidates possessing higher qualifications such as B.E./B. Tech are not eligible.
