Below are the vacancies for APSC Recruitment :
| 1. Junior Legislative Counsel and Under Secretary
No of posts: 1 (UR) Name of Department: Legislative Department, Assam |
| 2. Legal Assistant to Legal Remembrancer and Under Secretary
No of posts: 1 (UR) Name of Department: Judicial Department, Assam |
| 3. Under Secretary No of posts: 1 (UR)Name of Department: Judicial Department, Assam |
Scale of Pay: Pay scale: Rs.30,000/- to 1,10,000/- and Grade Pay: Rs.12,700/-
- A candidate must be an advocate enrolled under the Advocate’s Act, 1961 who has been practising as such for at least 3 years. Or
- A Judicial officer of at least 3 (three) years standing. Or
- A Chief Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a Degree in Law and having 3 (three) year experience as such officer or with 2 (two) years experience as such officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 3 (three) years. Or
- A Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a Degree in Law and having 5 (five) years experience as such officer or 2 (two) years experience as such Language Officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 4 (four) years.
Other Criteria of APSC Recruitment 2024 :
Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Residentship:
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate as proof of residency along with the application form.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must be registered themselves in any of the employment exchanges of Assam.
Small Family Norms: The candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the post.
