Eligibility Criteria for Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026
Applicants must be between 20 and 28 years of age as on 1st September 2026. Candidates must have been born on or after 2nd September 1998 and on or before 1st September 2006, with both dates included. Age relaxation is available for reserved categories. OBC-NCL candidates receive 3 years of relaxation, SC/ST candidates receive 5 years, and PwBD candidates receive 10 years of relaxation.
Candidates must also have completed their graduation within the period specified in the recruitment notice. Graduation must have been completed between 1st January 2023 and 1st September 2026, both dates being inclusive.
Educational Qualification for Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026
Candidates must possess a degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
The graduation must have been completed within the prescribed period of 1st January 2023 to 1st September 2026.
Candidates who studied the specified local language in Class 10 or Class 12 and can provide the relevant marksheet or certificate will not have to appear for the local-language test. Other candidates will have to take the local-language test during document verification. Candidates must also satisfy the Bank’s medical fitness requirements.

Selection Process for Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026
- Prepare the state-wise merit list using marks obtained in 12th Standard (HSC/10+2) or Diploma.
- Rank candidates with higher percentages higher in the merit list.
- Where candidates have the same percentage, place the older candidate higher.
- Apply the minimum requirement of 60% for General candidates and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Do not round off percentages; for example, 59.99% does not qualify for a 60% requirement.
