The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.
For the Academic Session 2025-2026, CUET (UG) – 2025 will be conducted between 08th May 2025 to 01st June 2025. This article helps all aspirants to know all details of CUET.

Eligibility Criteria of CUET UG Exam :
Age Limit: For appearing in the CUET (UG) – 2025, there is no age limit for the candidates.
Educational Qualification:
The candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2025 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (UG) – 2025 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Organization in which they are desirous of taking admission.
Examination Fee of CUET :
For CUET (UG) – 2025, fees will be charged based on the number of subjects chosen by the candidates. The following fee structure is applicable for CUET (UG) – 2025 :

How to Apply for CUET :
Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for CUET Exam by visiting at official online portal of NTA CUET. They may follow below mentioned steps .

Important Dates of CUET 2025 Exam :

- Last date of submission of online application: 24th March 2025 (upto 11.50 PM)

Scheme of CUET UG Examination :
Name of exam: CUET (UG) – 2025
Total subjects: 61 (33 languages, 27 domain-specific, and 01 General Test)
Choice of Test Paper: Maximum 06 Test papers (04 or 05 domain subjects including General Test and 01 or 02 languages). Candidates may choose a maximum 06 Subjects including languages (Indian and Foreign) and General Test
Note: It is advisable for candidates to select at least one language.
Medium of the Test: 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu)
Total Questions: 40 out of 50 questions for all test papers and 50 out of 60 for the General Test (choice of 10 questions). Duration for all test papers would be 45 minutes except for Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, and General Tests which would be 60 minutes.

Syllabus of CUET Exam :
Language: Language to be tested through Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages–Factual, Literary and Narrative, and Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary.
Domain Subject: As given on NTA website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in . As per NCERT Syllabus
General Test: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts Arithmetic / Algebra / Geometry / Mensuration / Statistics), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
