Eligibility Criteria for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026
Applicants must be 20 to 28 years old as on 1st April 2026. The date of birth should therefore fall between 2nd April 1998 and 1st April 2006, with both dates included. Check on Age Calculator
Category-wise relaxation is available as specified in the recruitment details: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, 13 years for PwBD (OBC) and 15 years for PwBD (SC/ST) candidates.
Candidates can apply for vacancies in only one State/UT and can appear for the examination only once under this recruitment project. Applicants must also be proficient in the specified local language of the State/UT they select, including reading, writing, speaking and understanding. Candidates who have studied the required local language in Class 10th or 12th and can produce the relevant mark sheet or certificate will not have to take the language test.
Educational Qualification for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026
Candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or hold an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government. Candidates possessing an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that their IDD passing date is on or before 31st December 2026. Final-year or final-semester graduation candidates may also apply provisionally, provided they can produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before 31st December 2026 if selected. The specified local-language requirement must also be fulfilled for the selected State/UT.
