Name of scholarship scheme: Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students
Scholarship authority: Government of India
Academic Session: 2023 – 2024
Eligible classes:
Pre-matric: Class IX to X [Component-I]
Pre-matric: Pre-Matric Scholarship to the children of those Engaged in Occupation involving Cleaning and Prone to Health Hazards (Class I-X) [Component-II]
Post-matric: Post-matriculation level courses
Eligibility Criteria of Assam SC Scholarship :
Community: Only SC Community Students are eligible to apply for the Scholarship.
Citizenship: The scholarships are open to Nationals of India only.
State of Domicile: Domicile state means the state in which students have their permanent address. Students are required to provide their domicile state correctly as their applications may be sent for verification to the Authorities belonging to their State of Domicile.
Family Restriction: All the children of any parent/ guardian will be entitled to receive benefits of the scheme.
Income Bars :
Pre-Matric (Class-IX & X) [Component-I] and Post-Matric Scholarship:
Scholarships will be granted to the SC students whose parental/guardian’s income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs per annum. The income certificate should be obtained only from the Circle Officer of respective Revenue Circle.
Pre-Matric (Class I-X) [Component-II] Scholarship:
No income bar for the children of those Engaged in Occupation involving Cleaning and Prone to Health Hazards.
# Children of those Engaged in Occupation involving Cleaning and Prone to Health Hazards, Eligible candidates will submit a certificate from District Social Welfare office, identified officer of Local body, Civic Agency or any such authority as designated by State Government.
How to Apply for SC Scholarship :
Candidates need to visit official national scholarship portal for submission of online application this scholarship. Follow the below steps to apply online for this scholarship.
- Scroll down, go to Important Links section.
- Click on Online Application Form link .
- A new webpage will be opened.
- Click on “New Registration” link .
- Enter your details as required in the portal; and register yourself.
- After registration, enter all credentials and upload your documents as required in the portal.
- Finally click on “Submit” and take print out of your submitted application.

- Bank Passbook
- Income Certificate
- Caste Certificate
- Aadhaar Card
Note:
# Applicants are advised to give only that bank account details which remains in active mode so that payment of Scholarship does not fail as all the disbursement of Scholarship will be made through DBT mode. The authority shall not be responsible for any failure of transaction due to inactive or incorrect bank details. # Applicants to ensure that they have a bank account seeded with Aadhaar number. # Aadhaar to be made mandatory for all applicants. However for minor applicants who apply without Aadhaar, it will be mandatory for parent or legal guardian to provide Aadhaar. |
