The Gauhati University is a higher education institute in Assam and North East India. There are huge numbers of students who are admitted to several colleges in Assam which are affiliated with Gauhati University. Gauhati University conducts two-semester exams every year. The exams for the 1st, 3rd and 5th semesters are usually held in the month of November-December and the 2nd, 4th and 6th semesters are usually held in the month of May-June. The online form fill-up is a mandatory task to be done by the students otherwise they will not be able to sit for the exam conducted by Gauhati University.

Gauhati University introduced an online examination form fill-up process in 2017 for semester exams. In 2017, Gauhati University digitalized the form fill up the process of all semester examinations. Now, the students are able to submit their GU Exam Forms at the official portal of Gauhati University directly from their homes. The students need to fill out their online exam forms two times a year for both odd and even semester exams.
How to Apply for the 3rd Sem Registration ?
Students who are preparing for the upcoming 1st, 3rd and 5th semester exams are required to fill out their online GU exam form before the last date of application. The exam will be conducted as per the official Gauhati University Routine, students can follow the steps given below to complete the online process.

- Click on the GU Online Form Fill-Up Link.
- Choose Student Login
- Enter your login credentials, verify the captcha and click on the Login button.
Mobile number and DOB - After that, you will see your dashboard.
- Click on the Exam Form option and fill in all asked details.
- Take out the print of the acknowledgement form.
- You have to pay the form fill-up fee at your college.
- Visit your college with the system-generated application form for verification.

Students who are finding difficulty in logging into the portal are advised to use their date of birth as the password. For example, if your date of birth is 5th January 2002, you will have to enter your password as 05/01/2002.
